UNIPH Quarterly Epidemiological Bulletin (UQEB) Volume 2 Issue 2 Jan-March 2017

Welcome to the second volume of Issue 2 of the Uganda National Institute Public Health (UNIPH) 
Quarterly Epidemiological Bulletin. In this issue, we present updates on Cluster Outbreak of Acute 
Respiratory Illness, Acute Hemorrhagic Conjunctivitis Out- break in Prisons, Suspected Cholera 
Outbreak associated with Drinking Unsafe River Water in Nebbi District amongst others. A policy 
brief on maternal depression has featured in this issue as well as improvement in reporting 
following introduction of electronic surveillance system. A rapid assessment of HIV serviced 
delivery which was done in emergency setting is documented. These investigations yielded very 
useful information that you ought not to miss.
