Training workshop on Data-Centered Leadership in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania

Vital Strategies in collaboration with the Uganda National Institute of Public Health (UNIPH) organized a 3 days training on Data-Centred Leadership which was held in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania, on 7-9 November 2024.
Participants were Uganda Ministry of Health staff drawn from UNIPH, Division of Health Information, Health Planning, Malaria Control Division and Nutrition Division.
The Data-Centered Leadership program helps public health practitioners enhances their skills on management of data as well as strengthening data use practices to enable their units leverage available data more robustly.
Participants developed Data Use Improvement Plans based on areas each department identified.
A 6 months mentorship follow up by the trainers will ensure that the projects are implemented and use of data to inform decision making is achieved.
