The 9th Uganda National Field Epidemiology Conference (NFEC) Took place on 21 Nov 2023

The Ministry of Health in Conjunction with the Uganda National Institute of Public Health on 21st November 2023 conducted the 9th Uganda National Field Epidemiology Conference at Hotel Africana. This was done in partnership with Makerere University School of Public Health (MakSPH) and the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (U.S CDC). The major goal of this Public Health Fellowship Program Initiative is to develop the next generation of public health leaders for Uganda.

During this Conference, Fellows of Advanced Field Epidemiology Training Program, Laboratory Leadership Program, FETP-Intermediate and FETP-Frontline Shared with stakeholders key findings from outbreak investigations, Epidemiological studies, costing studies, analysis of surveillance data & Evaluation of surveillance systems, which they had conducted through the in-service trainings.

The conference presented an opportunity for national and international experts, programmers and decision makers to hear and  discuss important public health Issues that affect the population.
