Winfred Nakaweesi, BSN, MPH is a public health professional with experience in capacity building and mentorship, health care research, designing and implementing logical frameworks, project planning and programming, advocacy and critical care of both adults and neonates; from the sectors of population and health, education, youth and work force development, health promotion as well as epidemiology.

She has served in both private and public entities, in roles including family planning project coordinator and trainer, knowledge and research manager, critical care nurse -team leader; where she developed and implemented training curriculum, mentored and built capacity of health workers and village health teams, and led in passive surveillance processes.

Winfred is currently a trainer and mentor in the Field Epidemiology Training Program- Frontline level
