PHFP FETP and LLP fellows light up the 9th East African Health & Scientific Conference at the Kigali Conference Centre in Rwanda

Eight fellows from Uganda Public Health Fellowship Program (PHFP)-Field Epidemiology Track (FET) and Laboratory Leadership Program (LLP) presented their outstanding work during the conference offering valuable insights into the challenges faced by the public health sector in line with the conference theme “Challenges and strategies to preparedness and response to communicable and non-communicable diseases: Lessons Learnt from COVID-19 Pandemic“. The presentations delivered by our distinguished fellows covered a wide range of topics including: HIV, Resilience of Health workers during the Ebola outbreak; Mortality Surveillance; Impact of COVID-19 on all-cause mortality and Yellow Fever.
