From 14th-18th October, 2024. Ministry of Health hosted a team of consultants from Korea under the Yeungnam University College of Medicine.

The team included; Dr. Tae Yoon Hwang, Professor of Dept. of Preventive Medicine, (Team Leader), Dr. Jung Jeung Lee, Professor of Dept. of Preventive Medicine Keimyung University School of Medicine, Dr. Jun Hee Lee, Research Professor of Dept. of Preventive Medicine, Yeungnam University,

Dr. Ho Woong Yoo, Researcher of Yeungnam University Medical Center, and Ms. Ju Yeon Lee, Researcher of Yeungnam University Medical Center.

This was organised as a routine annual follow up consultation for the Infectious Disease Project funded through the Korea Foundation for International Healthcare (KOFIH) to monitor progress of the 2nd year implementation and identification of areas of improvement for informed decision making so as to realise a successful project implementation by end of the 5years ( FY 2026/2027).

The team met officers from various departments that are benefiting from the project including: IES&PHE, PHEOC, UNIPH, and NHLDS.
