Dr. Esther Kisaakye, BSc, MPH, Advanced Field Epidemiology, is an Epidemiologist/Public Health Specialist with expertise in epidemiology, public health, health systems strengthening, operational scientific research concept/proposal development and implementation, supervision and coordination of health-related programs/projects.

Esther has worked with different organizations including working as an Epidemiologist with both Infectious Disease Institute and Surveillance Division Ministry of Health Uganda, Project Coordinator of a safe motherhood and child disability project with Mildmay Uganda, Field Supervisor/Quality Control Officer for different projects at Makerere University School of Public Health, Program Officer of a maternal and child health project with Luweero District Health Offices in collaboration with Korea International Cooperation Agency and Senior Graduate Nurse at Nakaseke Regional Hospital, Uganda.

A reviewer in a peer reviewed Journal of Public Health in Africa (JPHIA). Esther is currently working as a Project Coordinator of the Uganda Rapid Mortality Surveillance Project under the Uganda National Institute of Public Health and is a member of the Uganda Mortality surveillance technical working group.
