The Ministry of Health in conjunction with the Uganda National Institute of Public health on 12th January 2023 conducted the 8th Uganda National Field Epidemiology Conference at Hotel Africana.

During this annual conference, Fellows of the Advanced Field Epidemiology Training Program shared with stakeholders key findings from outbreak investigations, epidemiological studies, costing studies, analysis of surveillance data and evaluation of surveillance systems, which they had conducted through the in-service training.

The conference presented an opportunity for national and international experts, programmers and decision makers to hear and discuss important public health issues that affect the population.

The theme for the conference was; Sustaining Efforts to Build a Resilient Disease Surveillance and Response System
