Stella Namuwaya is the administrative assistant of the PHFP-Frontline program at the Makerere University College and Health Sciences, School of Public Health. She works closely with PHFP-administrative officer, Principal Investigators, various trainers and other staff at the college.
She provides technical and logistical support to the field team and other assigned administrative duties. She is highly efficient and diligent administrator with over 6 years of experience in management in Non-government Organizations and government authorities like Uganda National Academy of Sciences (UNAS), Infectious Disease Research Collaboration (IDRC), Global Health Uganda (GHU), Baylor College of Medicine (BCM), Uganda Beaurue of Statistics (UBOS), Kampala Capital City Authority (KCCA).
She has also managed to organize and coordinate a number of conferences like Uganda Pediatrics Association Conferences, National HIV Pediatrics Conferences, and Study dissemination workshops/meetings. With this vast experience acquired over years of practice she is able to exercise her skills and enthusiasm to any work team. She upholds organizational policies and procedures when working with staff, approaches all aspects of her job with strong organization skills, a positive and hardworking mindset.
She graduated from Makerere Business School with a Bachelor of Office and Information Management (BOIM), holding a Diploma of Projecting Planning and Management at Makerere University (DDPM), including other short management courses like Certificate in Computer Applications (CCA) and financial management (CFM) And she is an active member of Society of Adolescents Health in Uganda (SAHU), Uganda Pediatrics Association (UPA), Positive Parenting and Responsible Childhood (POPARC).
