Samuel Gidudu

Samuel Gidudu is a Medical Laboratory Specialist as well as the Program Coordinator for the Laboratory Leadership Public Health Fellowship Program (LL-PHFP) based at the Uganda National Institute of Public Health (NIPH)/Ministry of Health.

Samuel holds a Master of Science degree in Biomedical Laboratory Science and Management from Makerere University, a bachelor’s degree in medical laboratory science from Mbarara University of Science and Technology, as well as a Postgraduate Diploma in Medical Education from Makerere University and an advanced diploma in health service management from IUIU. He also holds an in service training certificate in field epidemiology (intermediate) from UNIPH at MOH.

Samuel is a member of the African Volunteer Health Corps (AVoHC), and the National Rapid Response Team (NRRT) for Uganda,

Before joining the UNIPH, Samuel previously worked at the Mbale Regional Emergency Operations Centre (Mbale EOC) as the Head of plans/ Laboratory Pillar; in Pallisa as the District Laboratory Focal Person (DLFP), and Laboratory Manager. Mbale EOC is the pioneer and model regional PHEOC for Uganda.

Samuel has expertise in coordinating laboratory leadership programs; developing and implementing medical laboratory systems according to ISO 15 189: 2012; developing and operating PHEOC systems; scientific research and publications; policy briefs’ writing; training and Mentorship.
