Daniel Kadobera

Daniel Kadobera is an epidemiologist and program coordinator of the Public Health Fellowship Program (Advanced FETP) based at the Nation Institute of Public Health (NIPH) in Ministry of Health, Uganda. Before joining the PHFP, he worked at a demographic surveillance site where he master-mined its setup. It involved line listing of all households and residents of a clearly mapped out area in Iganga and Mayuge Districts as a baseline which set the stage for follow up visits after every four months.  The centre now serves as the one stop centre for research serving a host of scholars from Makerere University.

He has expertise in applied field epidemiology and has led numerous disease outbreaks and health assessments in Uganda. Daniel has mentored field epidemiology fellows and postgraduate MPH students, organized data to action workshops for policy makers and participated in a number of policy development and advocacy forums with government officials.
