The Uganda Public Health Fellowship Program for Laboratory Leadership (PHFP-LLP) is a two year US CDC funded program implemented by the Ministry of Health [MoH] in conjunction with Makerere University School of Public Health.
This program is enrolling its first cohort in January 2023. As part of the preparation process, host site identification prior to enrollment is required. This is because the host site identification plays a vital role in the recruitment of the laboratory fellow.
The PHFP-LLP and the Association for Public Health Laboratories [APHL], a founding member for the Global Laboratory Leadership Program, conducted a visit to CPHL, which is one of the potential host sites for the program out of the 5 that are required.
During the visit, the delegates from the PHFP and APHL provided information to the potential host site in relation to the program.
