Who we are

We’re the Malaria Research and Policy Centre (MARP Centre) hosted at the Uganda National Institute of Public Health (UNIPH) in Kampala, Uganda. We are a network of Ugandan scientists, researchers, and policy analysts dedicated to malaria control and elimination in Uganda and the surrounding regions.

The Centre was established in 2024 with the goal of reducing the burden of malaria, as well as other vector-borne diseases, and accelerating progress towards control and elimination. We do this through research and analytics for the Ministry of Health and the National Malaria Elimination Division
